ROLAND TOURAND
January 1, 1933 – September 3, 2020
Roland is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Elmer) Dyck and Linda (Maurice) Laramee, his son Roy (Sharon) Tourand, two grandsons, Gabriel (Nichole) Pelletier and Nicholas Tourand, plus numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation has taken place. As per his wishes no formal service will be held.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and residents of the Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts for their excellent care, kindness, and friendliness during his stay there.

I’m sorry it took so long for me to find out that he is gone. I have great memories of him from our weekends at Wendigo while the Tourand family was there. The entire family was fun to be around, but he wrestled on the local circuit and he was tough as nails. I remember travelling to towns to watch him fight guys that were always bigger physically but didn’t have his heart. As a kid that loved wrestling, Rollie was almost larger than life for me. I also remember him as being super helpful and always kind to others too. I’ve always thought of him as the kind of man to aspire to become. So sorry for your loss. I removed uncle and Aunty at socials for the family, last time I saw uncle was at my sister Lorna's 25th anniversary celebration in Transcona.
